- Peel of one medium size Lauki ( Bottle gourd)
- 3 Table spoons cooking oil (or less to your choice)
- 3 Table spns. prepared masala (Recipe of masala is given in this blog separately)
- 2 table spns. besan ( Chick pea flour)
- 1 Tea spn. garam masala
- 1/2 Tea spn. turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 Tea spn. chilli powder ( Optional, if you prefer quite hot)
- Little water about about1 table spn. if needed to be added to masala.
Wash the lauki well, peel, cut into pieces as shown in picture. Boil with 1/2 tea spn. turmeric
powder and 1/2 tea spn. salt with half cup water. Drain extra water and keep aside. In a khadai (wok) on medium fire add 2 tabl. spns oil. Heat. Add the masala. Stir fry for about 2-3 minutes. add the
boiled lauki to masala in kadhai. Stir fry for about 3-4 minutes. Sprinkle besan on the lauki, slowly keep stiring, sprinkle the garam masala. Stir for about 6-7 minutes till it becomes crispy and starts leaving the sides of kadhai.
