Whole Wheat Flour Halwa |
Ingredients:
1 Cup Whole wheat flour (Aatta)
1 Cup Ghee
1 Cup Sugar
2 ½ Cup Water
(1 Tea spoon crushed almonds for Garnish, Optional)
Ratio is: 1:1:1:2 ½ Easy to remember
Method:
Add sugar to water and boil on medium fire till sugar melts in water completely. Leave it on simmer heat till It is added to the roasted
flour in kadhai.
Keep a Kadhai on (bit heavy bottom one) on low fire. Add flour and keep roasting it by continously stirring till the flour turned into light golden brown. Add ghee and continue stirring, till nice roasted fragnance comes out of it and it becomes dark golden brown. Be careful that no lumps are formed and the flour is not sticking at the bottom of Kadhai. Now add the sugar-water solution slowly in portions so that it is mixed homogeneously and no lumps are formed. Reduce the fire to slow if its on medium. Stir a bit and cover the kadhai with lid. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes. Open and serve it in serving dish. May Garnish with Crushed almonds.
To be served Warm. If extra, Frig it and rewarm it before serving.
