Mango Spicy Curry (a side dish)
Ingredients:
On medium fire in a wok (kadhai) add 1 table spoon oil . Fry the red or the green chillies and remove from fire and keep aside. Add Methi, Kalongi and Jeera and fry well. Now in a table spoon water mix Turmeric powder, coriander powder and chilli powder and pour over the frying seeds in wok. Add the hing. Stir for a few seconds and add the mango chunks. Stir the chunks and wrap nicely in the spices. Keep stirring for about 1 minute. Add besan, stir well. roast the besan little for 1 minute. add 3 cups water and salt. cover. let it simmer on low fire for 15-17 minutes till the mango pieces change colour and almost mashed with the liquid. Add the shreaded part of Mango. Mix well and let it simmer for another 4-5 minites. Turn on serving dish. Garnish with the fried chilli and serve.
This goes well with:
1). As side dish with Parantha, 2) boiled rice, 3) Top on toast,

- 2, Semi Ripe Totapuri Mango
- 1/2 tea spoon Cumin seeds (Jeera)
- 1/3 Tea spoon Kalongi seeds
- 1/2 Tea spoon Fenugrek ( Methi) seeds
- 1/2 Tea spoon chilli powder
- 1/2 tea spoon Coriander Powder
- 2 -3 cloves ( Laung)
- 1/2 tea spoon turmeric powder
- 1-2 pinch asfoitida (Hing)
- 1 table spoon chick pea flour ( Besan), Salt to taste, & Two slit green or red chillies (optional), 13 1 table spoon oil.
