Patore U.P.Style ( A TEA TIME SNACK)

Patore U.P.Style   ( A TEA TIME SNACK)
Patore of Arbi Leaves, Chaulai , Mint+Corriander or Bathua
Prep Time 20 Mins Cook Time 60-70 Mins.
Serves 4-5, Served as Evening Snack
Ingredients
      7-9 Arbi Leave or 4 -5 Cups Chaulai, Bathua or Mint leaves
       Arbi Leaves                              Chaulai leaves
      2 cup Gram flour  (Besan) 
      1 tspn Mustard seeds
      1 Tspn Cumin (Jeera) seeds
      ½ Tspn Turmeric powder
      2 Tspn Dried Mango powder (Amchoor)
      1 Tspn chile powder (or to taste)
      1 Tspn Aniseeds (Saunf)
Mint leaves
      ½ Tspn Carom Seeds (Ajwain)
Masale
      4 Cloves Garlic paste (freshly made)
      1 Tspn All spice  (Garam Masals)
      Mint leaves a few (about 10-15) (optional)
      Salt to taste
      4-5 Tblspns Cooking oil
      1, Lemon
   Water 
Method:-    Mix gram flour, all spices leaving Mustard and Cumin seeds for later use. Rub all together and then spread over Arbi leaves, place leaves over and role. or substitute with Chaulai, Bathua, Mint leaves. Add water little at a time and make thick paste. Make rolls on  palms, as shown in figure. Place them on strainers and steam.
Fill water on boiler 1/3 full and keep rolls on strainer. Steam for ½ an hour or till done. for 10-12 minutes. When cool cut into less than ½ inch thick round pieces.Place Shallow fry-pan on fire,put little oil and the Mustard seeds and the cumin seeds, When fried add few slices at a time, Turn sides, very gently, till little crispy. Remove from fire Serve hot with piece of Lemon and Tea/Coffee Remove from fire, Transfer onto a greased (or place butter paper) flat utensil  to cool. 



You may Microwave the rolls kept over little water, covered with lid,  for 7-8 minutes or check till the rolls are cooked. (rest same procedure). Tea Time snack
