Poha or Chiwra


Poha/ Chiwara
Ingredients :
2 cups Poha                 
1 tsp Mustard Seeds    
1 tsp Cumin Seeds      
1 tblspn Green chillies chopped
3 tblspn Boiled peas       
½ cup Cubes od boiled potatoes
2 tblsp Butter beans cut into small pieces
1 tsp Tumeric    
1 tsp. Clilli flakes
1.tsp Garam masala
3 tblspn Lemon juice.
Curry leaves/chopped corriender leaves  
salt to taste
For garnishing
Shredded cabbage
Tomato skin rose flower
Piece of lemon.
Twig of mint (optional)

Methods:
Take the Poha in a colander & wash & drain it. Heat Oil in a pan season with 
mustard, cumin, and Red chili, curry leaves. (If using Coriander sprinkle on top before serving). 
Add peas, beans and potatoes & fry till they look bit crispy and light brown. 
Add turmeric, green chilies salt & stir fry it little while. 
Finally add Poha, lemon juice and Garam masala & mix gently. 
Garnish on one side with shredded cabbage and rose made of tomato skin may add few twigs of mint as well. Keep a small piece of lemon on top Serve hot as a breakfast dish or light meal.
Note: For time savers and labour: you may use frozen French fries and peas. Heat in micro for 3 minutes, cut potatoes and do the follow up as mentioned in recipe.
