PANEER ZAIKEDAR

Paneer Quick and Zaikedar
This is one of my favourite dish. Very simple and quick to make as part of main meal. May take it with Parantha, Roti or Pav-Bhaji Buns toastd with butter on Tava.

Ingredients:
  • 1.    2 Cup Paneer cut into cubes 
  • 2.    Red Chilli Powder 1 Tsp. 
  • 3.    Turmeric Powder 1 Tsp. 
  • 4.    Coriander Powder 1Tsp. 
  • 5.    One Tbl. Spn. Boiled peas (Optional) 
  • 6.    Cumin Powder ½ Tsp. 
  • 7.    Spring Onion (white and Green portion) 2 Tbl. Spn. 
  • 8.    Green Chilli 2, Slit lengthwise. 
  • 9.    Coriander Leaves coarsely chopped 
  • 10.  Garam Masala 1 Tsp. 
  • 11.  Ginger Julien 
  • 12.  1 Cup Curd (Yogurt) 
  • 13.  Thick Tomato Soup Powder 3 Tbl. Spn. 
  • 14.  2 -3 Tbl. Spn. Cooking oil 
  • 15.  Salt to taste 
  • Method: 
    Cut Paneer in cubical pieces. [big chunks]. Spread in flat pan as shown in pic. Sprinkle over turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder, chillie powder and salt. Mix well softly with fingers. Stir curd with a fork in cup and spread over Paneer. Mix again with figures.

    Heat oil in flat pan as shown in pic. Add the Paneer mix. Let it cook for 4-6 minutes or till it almost dries up. Add the sprong onion, slit green chillies, boiled peas and stir for a while. Add the Tomato Soup powder mixed in half cup water and spread over the Paneer Mix well. Cook for 5-6 minutes turning it a few times. Cook till oil splits from mixture, dry it up. Sprinkle Garam Masala and half of the chopped coriander leaves. Serve in dish sprinkle the balance coriander and arrange the Ginger Jiliens on top. Serve hot with Parantha, Roti or Butter toasted buns.
